Terms and Conditions  

Please read the following terms and conditions carefully. 

  1. All pizza recipes entered must be financially viable to mainstream restaurants. This includes, but is not limited to, elements such as ingredienttype and volume.  

  2. Recipe ownership for competition recipes resides with the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships and related competition sponsors, who may use the recipe for promotional purposes in their absolute discretion without payment ofany amount to the competitor. 

  3. All applicable milk/dairy/cheese products that feature in a competition recipe and are available from ‘Dairymont’ willbe supplied and it is a condition of entry that they be usedby finalists. 

  4. All applicable small goods/meat products that feature in a competition recipe and are available from a sponsor will be supplied and it is a condition  of entry that they be used by finalists. All applicable pasta sauce, antipasto, olives, pastes and oils that feature in the competition pasta recipe and are available from a sponsor will be suppliedand it is a condition of entry that they be used by finalists.  

  5. All competitors’ ingredients will be inspected upon arrival.. Any ingredients found to be in replication of any provided sponsor’s products and/or without prior written approval will be taken and destroyed.   

  6. All other ingredients, including flour, salt, sugar, oil are to be provided by the competitor. 

  7. Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships will provide basic preparation facilities i.e work bench and impinger oven. Onsite refrigeration storage and washing facilities will be provided at the competition venue.

  8. All other equipment including but not limited to such as rolling pins, whisk, will be the responsibility of the competitor and must be supplied on the day of competition.  

  9. Competitors must adhere to all local, State and National food and health requirements at all times. Food handling gloves and caps will be provided and must be worn by competitors at all times during preparation and cooking.  

  10. Competitors will be provided with a competition apron before competing in the competiton.. These must be worn at all times during the competition including but not limited to, interviews, media appearances and award ceremonies.

  11. Competitors are to wear clean trousers, preferably chef pants or black pants and closed safety shoes for the competition in accordance with State and National health regulations. Denim jeans, shorts or three quarter pants will not be accepted.  

  12. No hand jewellery (excluding wedding bands) is to be wornduring the competition. 

  13. Competitors are required to discuss products, techniques and equipment used during the competition. Such discussions may be broadcast, recorded and published in the absolute discretion of the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships without payment of any amount to the competitor.

  14. Profanity, negative comparisons of sponsors and or products are not to made by any competitors during the competition including pre and post event.  Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any competitor who engages in such actions duringthe competition including preand post event.  

  15. Competitors are not representatives of the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships or related sponsors and should not state or imply as such at any time during the competition including pre and post event. 

  16. Judges’ decisions are final and discussion/assessment may not be entered into. Requested assessment may be offered inthe absolute discretion of Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships.

  17. All entries become the property of the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships, who are also given the right to use finalists’ names, photos and details of entries in the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships further and future promotions in its absolute discretion without payment of any amount to the competitor.    

  18. All advertising and/or promotions in respect to the competitor or the competitor’s business which makes any reference to ‘Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships’, ‘the competition’ and/or related sponsors and logos, must first be submitted to Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships for approval prior to printing, publication or press release. Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships may grant its approval in its absolute discretion and may grant its approval with or without conditions.  

  19. Competitors who have above mentioned advertising and/or promotion approval (Clauses 24 and 25) will be restricted to a time period agreed by the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships for use of such materials and claims.  Competitors must acknowledge ‘Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships’ in any advertising and/or promotions under Clauses 24 and 25. 

  20. Any international competition invitation, entry and conditionswill be decided solely by Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships in its absolute discretion.  

  21. Subject to applicable law and/or regulations, the Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves the right to make alterations to the National prize pool at any time during the competition.  

  22. Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves the right to book all travel and accommodation as required by a competitor and stated by the event manager.  

  23. Subject to applicable law and/or regulations, Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves theright to manage/alter the number of finalist positions in each National event.

  24. All competitors who enter the competition must be operating from within a registered business premises as approved by relevant State and National health authorities. The business must be operating with an ABN.  

  25. Only one individual competitor will be announced (per Pizza Challenge) as the current national winner of the competition. This individual will be selected from all those competing in the national final categories.

  26. All prizes and awards will be presented by Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships to the establishment where the individual competitor is employed. Under no circumstances will Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships enter into negotiations between the establishment and individual competitors in relation to the distribution of prizes and awards.  

  27. Subject to the announced National winner being unable under any circumstances to fulfil their contractual obligations, Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves the right to appoint a runner up to complete such obligations as specified within but not limited to the named contract. 

  28. Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships reserves the right in its absolute discretion to disqualify any competitor who fails to adhere to the terms and conditions set outin this contract.

  29. Dairymont Australian Pizza Championships is open to Independent businesses. Those companies operating as a franchised business will not be eligible for entry once store numbers exceed 5 stores nationally.  

  30. The Grand Prize is return flights for two to Fiji (ex Melbourne/ Brisbane/ Sydney) staying for 5 nights at Outrigger Resort Fiji!  TERMS:Available dates of travel are: 23 April 2017 - 23 June 2017, 29 October 2017- 25 December 2017, 16January 2018 -31 March 2018.  Dates are subject to availability.
